Mallie Sovan-Soeung
Hi, I’m Mallie! I’m a San Jose native and Bay Area creative with a passion for photography and visual storytelling. I’ve been behind the camera since I was 12 years old, and over the years, my love for photography has grown into a career capturing spaces, people, and moments in a meaningful way.
In 2024, I co-founded True North Real Estate Media to help real estate professionals, developers, and businesses showcase their properties with high-quality photography and video. My goal is to create images that not only look great but also make a real impact by helping people connect with the spaces they see.
Outside of real estate, I’m deeply involved in music photography, working with DJs, live performers, and nightlife events. I love capturing the energy of concerts, festivals, and underground music scenes, bringing the same creative approach to every project I take on.

I also have a deep love for film photography because it allows me to slow down, be intentional with every shot, and embrace the raw, imperfect beauty of the process. Shooting on film challenges me to see things differently and brings a timeless, nostalgic feel to my work that I can’t get with digital.
Beyond my own projects, I love supporting my peers with their businesses and creative endeavors, whether it’s shooting press photos, branding visuals, or helping them organize their ideas. Seeing other creatives succeed and bringing their visions to life is something I truly enjoy.
I graduated from San Jose State University in 2021 with a degree in business administration and marketing. I’ve always looked for ways to blend my creative side with my professional work, and photography has allowed me to do just that. Whether it’s real estate, live events, or portraits, I’m all about creating visuals that tell a story.

Hi, I’m Marilyn! I’m a photographer, designer, and visual storyteller with a passion for creating compelling imagery. My love for art started in childhood and evolved into a multi-faceted career spanning photography, graphic design, illustration, and web design.
I first picked up a camera in 2012, and from that moment, I was hooked. Over the past decade, I’ve captured everything from portraits and weddings to live events. But what truly excites me is the impact that high-quality visuals can have—especially in real estate. A great photo isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about emotion, connection, and storytelling.
That’s why in 2024, I co-founded True North Real Estate Media with Mallie. Our mission is to help real estate professionals, developers, and businesses elevate their listings with stunning photography and video.
